Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 8th of May 2025

Introduction:

Sleekabyte Technologies ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you use the QueueReceipts AI Mobile App (the "App"). It applies to users worldwide, and we strive to comply with global data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable regulations. By using our App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy

Information We Collect

Personal Information You Provide:
When you create an account or use QueueReceipts, we collect personal information you provide, such as your name, email address, and phone number. This information is required to register you, communicate with you, and enable core App features.
No Location or Sensitive Device Data: We do not collect any GPS location data or any other sensitive information from your device. The App does not access your device’s location services, camera, microphone, contacts, or other device data unrelated to the App’s core functionality. In other words, aside from the information you knowingly provide (name, email, phone), we do not track or gather additional personal data from your device.
Automatically Collected Data: To operate the App and ensure security, we may collect basic technical information automatically when you use QueueReceipts. This can include data like your device type, operating system, IP address, and usage logs. This information is used solely for troubleshooting, improving performance, and protecting our services, and it is not used to identify you personally or determine your exact location.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:
Providing and Improving the Service: To operate the App and provide you with its features and services. For example, we use your name and contact details to create your account, authenticate you, and allow you to receive and manage digital receipts. We may also use data (in aggregate form) to understand how the App is used and to improve its performance and features.
Communication: To send you important account or transaction-related communications. This includes verifying your email or phone number, sending receipts or notifications you request, responding to customer support inquiries, and informing you of important updates or changes to the App. We may also send you informational updates about new features. We will only send marketing emails or newsletters with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
Legal and Security: To enforce our terms of service and prevent fraud, security incidents, or abuse. We may use information to verify user identity, monitor for suspicious activity, and ensure the App is used safely and legally. If necessary, we will use and disclose information to comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests from authorities (such as court orders or government regulations).
Other Purposes with Consent: If we ever need to use your information for any purpose not covered above, we will explain the purpose at that time and, if required by law, obtain your consent.

Our use of your personal data is supported by valid legal bases. Primarily, we process your data to fulfill our contract with you (providing the App’s services) and to pursue our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving our services in a secure manner. Where we rely on your consent (for example, for optional marketing communications), you have the right to withdraw consent at any time.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share your data in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: We use trusted third-party companies to help us operate the App and deliver our services. In particular, QueueReceipts is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure for data storage and processing. AWS acts as our data processor and only processes personal data under our instructions. AWS does not access or use your personal information for its purposes, but provides a secure computing environment for our application. We have agreements (including AWS’s GDPR-compliant Data Processing Addendum) to protect your data. Other service providers (if any) that we use may include email delivery services or customer support tools, and they will similarly be bound to use your data only for our specified purposes and in compliance with this Policy.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities. For example, we might need to share data to comply with a court order, subpoena, or regulatory requirement. In such cases, we will only share the information to the extent necessary and will ensure we have a lawful basis.).
Business Transfers: If QueueReceipts is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred to the successor or acquiring entity as part of that transaction. If such a transfer occurs, we will ensure the new owner continues to respect your data in line with this Privacy Policy, or we will provide you with notice and choices as required by law.
With Your Consent: Apart from the cases above, if we ever need to share your information with any other third party for a new purpose, we will inform you and obtain your consent.

International Data Transfers: Because we use cloud infrastructure (AWS) and operate globally, your information may be processed and stored on servers located in countries other than your own. AWS data centres may be in the United States, the European Union, or other jurisdictions. Regardless of where your data is stored, we apply the same level of protection. If you are located in the UK, European Economic Area (EEA), or other regions with data transfer restrictions, we take steps to ensure lawful data transfers. These may include using Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognised safeguards as required by GDPR to protect your information when it is transferred internationally. We remain responsible for processing your data by any third-party service providers, and we ensure it is protected according to the standards described in this Policy.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. In practice, this means we will keep your account information (name, email, phone number) for as long as you maintain an account with QueueReceipts. If you decide to delete your account or if it becomes inactive for an extended period, we will delete or anonymise your personal data in accordance with our data retention policies. However, please note that we may keep certain information longer if needed for legitimate business interests or legal obligations. For example, we might retain some data for accounting/tax records, to comply with laws, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. When we no longer have a legitimate need or legal obligation to retain your personal data, we will securely erase it or anonymise it so that it can no longer be associated with you.

Your Rights

We respect your rights regarding your personal data. Under global data protection laws (such as the EU GDPR, which grants individuals a set of fundamental data subject rights), you have the following rights regarding the personal information we hold about you:
Right to Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, as well as information about how we process it.
Right to Rectification: If any of your information is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to correct or update it.
Right to Erasure: You can request that we delete your personal data. We will honour such requests whenever possible – for example, when the data is no longer needed for the purposes it was collected, or if you withdraw consent (in cases where consent is the legal basis) – provided we are not required to keep it for legal reasons.
Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to ask us to limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances (for instance, while a complaint about data accuracy or usage is being reviewed).
Right to Data Portability: You have the right to obtain personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and to have that data transmitted to another controller where technically feasible. This right applies when the processing is based on your consent or on a contract and the processing is carried out by automated means.
Right to Object: You may object to our processing of your personal data in certain situations. In particular, you have an unconditional right to object to your information being used for direct marketing purposes. You can also object if you feel a legitimate interest does not justify our processing or if we were to engage in profiling (which we do not).
Right to Withdraw Consent: If we are processing your personal information based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. For example, if you have subscribed to receive promotional emails, you can opt out and we will stop sending them.
Right Not to be Subject to Automated Decisions: We do not make any decisions about you that are based solely on automated processing (without human involvement) that have legal or similarly significant effects. If that changes in the future, you would have the right not to be subject to such decision-making without your consent or without the opportunity for human review. In addition to the above, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in your jurisdiction if you believe that our processing of your personal data violates the law. For example, UK residents can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and individuals in the EU can reach out to their national Data Protection Authority. We emphasise that we do not sell your personal information (as defined under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act), and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Residents of certain regions (such as California) may have additional rights under local law, and we will honour those as applicable (for example, rights to further disclosure or to opt out of certain data sharing, although we do not share data for monetary gain).
Exercising Your Rights: To exercise any of your rights, please contact us using the contact information provided in the “Contact Information” section below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request for security purposes. We will respond to requests within the timeframe required by applicable law (for example, within one month for GDPR-related requests, with the possibility of a reasonable extension where necessary). If you would like to request for your account to be deleted, please fill out the QReceipts Account Deletion Form here - https://forms.gle/cLQDTRmKAFA8fio26

Security Measures

We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement a variety of technical and organisational measures to protect it. These measures are designed to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your information. They include:
-> Encryption: We use encryption to protect data transmitted between your device and our servers (for example, SSL/TLS protocols for data in transit). We also employ encryption at rest for stored data, so your information is protected on our servers.
-> Access Controls: Personal data is accessible only to authorised personnel who need it to perform their job duties (for example, customer support or developers), and they are bound by confidentiality obligations. We train our staff on data protection practices to ensure your information is handled safely and respectfully.
-> Secure Infrastructure: Our App is built on AWS, which maintains high industry standards for security and privacy. AWS’s infrastructure includes robust physical security, network security, and regular audits/certifications. We leverage these protections to help safeguard your data on our platform.
-> Monitoring and Testing: We regularly monitor our systems for vulnerabilities and suspicious activities. Security patches and software updates are applied to keep our infrastructure up to date. We also conduct periodic security assessments or audits of our applications to identify and address potential risks.
-> Incident Response: In the unlikely event of a data breach or security incident, we have procedures in place to respond promptly. This includes identifying and containing the issue, mitigating any harm, and notifying affected users and relevant authorities when required by law.

While we strive to protect your information with these measures, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We continuously update our security practices to adapt to new threats and technologies, and we encourage you to also play a role in protecting your data (for example, by using a strong password and keeping it confidential).

Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law, such as 16 in certain jurisdictions). If you are under that age, please do not use the QueueReceipts App or provide any personal information to us. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our records. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under the applicable age may have provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and delete any such data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy with a new "Last Updated" date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as by email notification or an in-app alert) to inform you of the updates.

We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of the QueueReceipts App after any changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute acceptance of the revised terms (to the extent permitted by law).
